Diableros is my new project in performance-art. Directly inspired by the work of Carlos Castañeda, the work functions as a demonic interference by the places where it passes. In the book The Devil's Ewe, Castañeda reports the pre-existence of a being who is human and not human, who is responsible for the magical formation of one of the central characters of the book, Don Juan. Diableros function as images of invasion, sometimes subtle or abrupt in everyday life, revealing that it is possible to extend consciousness to other planes not accessed by realism. The objective is to collect 12 or 13 photographs throughout the year 2019, so that the interpretation I made of the Diableros de Castañeda through photography, interfere in the landscape, imploding the common space function of the chosen location. I started this work in February of this year in São Paulo, and my goal is to migrate to other places in Brazil and the world. So far, I have two places where the action took place, there are still 10 or 11 photos that capture one or a few Diableros. Diableros es mi nuevo proyecto en performance. Directamente inspirado en la obra de Carlos Castañeda, el trabajo funciona como una interferencia demoníaca por los lugares donde pasa. En el libro La hierba del diablo, Castañeda relata la preexistencia de un ser que es humano y no humano, el cual es responsable de la formación mágica de uno de los personajes centrales del libro, Don Juan. Los diableros funcionan como imágenes de invasión, a veces sutiles o abruptas en el cotidiano, revelando que es posible la extensión de la conciencia a otros planos no accedidos por el realismo. El objetivo es recoger 12 o 13 fotografías a lo largo del año 2019, de modo que la interpretación que hice de los Diableros de Castañeda a través de la fotografía, interfieren en el paisaje, implosionando la función espacial común del lugar escogido.
Inicie este trabajo en febrero de este año en São Paulo, y mi objetivo es que él migre a otros lugares de Brasil y del mundo. Hasta el momento, tengo dos lugares donde la acción se realizó, faltan todavía 10 o 11 fotografías que capturan uno o algunos Diableros.
